![]() ![]() ![]() It is rare to hear certain topics like some health conditions discussed in such a funny and honest way which brings a sense of commonality and comfort. I especially appreciate reading about Irby’s chronic health issues because it’s something similar to what I have to deal and often struggle with. ![]() She talks about her life, her relationships and her body with an acerbic and humorous wit that makes you basically just want to be her friend. Samantha Irby is an American comedian who writes about her life, pop culture and pretty much anything else in such a direct and often hilarious manner. Recently, things are more ‘Girls Gone Mild.’ In Wow, No Thank You Irby discusses the actual nightmare of living in a rural idyll, weighs in on body negativity (loving yourself is a full-time job with shitty benefits) and poses the essential question: Sure sex is fun but have you ever googled a popular meme? Staring down the barrel of her fortieth year, Samantha Irby is confronting the ways her life has changed since the days she could work a full 11 hour shift on 4 hours of sleep, change her shoes and put mascara on in the back of a moving cab and go from drinks to dinner to the club without a second thought. ![]()

![]() I originally did this the long way because I had a lot of free time. This is applied so that the rows of the spreadsheet alternate between red, green and blue exactly as they would in a digital photo. The process involves cracking the digital photo file open, scraping out all of the numbers and putting them into the cells of an Excel spreadsheet.Ĭonditional formatting is then used to colour each cell so that it is completely black for “0”, fully bright for “255” and every whole-number shade in between. I found a way to actually open digital photos as spreadsheets in Excel. When you take a photo, your camera measures the amount of red, green and blue light hitting each pixel, ranks them on a scale from 0 to 255 and then records those values as a spreadsheet. ![]() ![]() It really is just a spreadsheet.ĭigital photographs are actually just spreadsheets. ![]() ![]() ![]() UH, OH! Regardless, his text would go on to be read by millions, outliving the Tsars themselves. Turgenev died in 1883 so he didn't live to see the revolution come to fruition. Whilst it undoubtedly ruffled some feathers back home, the public found Ivan's novel to be a fascinating take on the socio-political change that had started to sweep across Russia. Abroad, he was a highly respected and sought-after author and Fathers and Sons was released to great success around Europe. Turgenev offered astute psychological insight into the conflicting parties, from the portrayal of his two young protagonists to that of their older parents and the various women that they try to court. Set in a time of conflict and social uprising, the people fought for the abolishment of serfdom and despaired at the daily inequality faced by the lower classes. It took me another two years after the wedding to tell my friends and family that I actually met my wife online. ![]() Except of course, for the one’s on my wife’s side who promised to maintain my Starbucks “decoy story.” When we were planning seating arrangements, I had to make sure that my friends and family were on one side of the yacht, and my wife’s were on the other. A scheduled plan to inspect structures for repairs or replacement prior to failure began to occur. With the information afforded throughinspections and additional funding mechanisms, counties by the mid-1980s had the tools to be proactive toward bridge maintenance. Changes began to occur with the Silver Bridge disaster in 1967 over the Ohio River, as the federal government instituted inspection of all public bridges at two-year intervals. The practice was to send the crews out to pick up the pieces and then figure out how to repair or replace the bridge. They depict a county highway department that was only reactive.
